Applications
For recirculation applications, inlet and outlet
Drum strainers have proven themselves well in the aquaculture market.
Thanks to the use of such a filter, nutrients are reliably removed and indicators are reduced:
- Biological oxygen consumption by almost 80%
- Almost 84% total phosphorus
- 91% suspended solids
Drum filters are used for the following purposes:
- Removal of fish droppings from feed residues from fish hatchery systems.
- Mechanical water treatment in recirculation systems and removal of bound nutrients.
- Microfiltration contributes to the functioning of the biological filter and increases the efficiency of ozonizers and UV disinfection units.
- The use of a microfilter with a filtration rate of 40 microns significantly reduces the risk of infection caused by Ichthyophthirius multifilis (ichthyophthirius or "white point".
- Removing sediment from the water entering the system. This reduces the risk of sedimentation in the hatchery system and on the gills of aquatic organisms.
- Reducing the risk of saprolegniosis in incubation-larval systems by combining microfiltration with ozonation.
- Removal of algae from water coming from natural reservoirs.
- Prevents unwanted fish from entering pond systems.
Execution types
Drum filters from Hydrotech are available in several versions: for installation in open ducts with an open inlet, with a pipe in the inlet, filters with a tank. Suitable for any purpose, both fresh and salt water.
Depending on the size of the filter and the mesh used, the filter performance can be from 5 to 1000 l / s.
